Orders to be shipped by mail, which are placed before 1:00 p.m., Eastern Time will be shipped that day provided the item(s) ordered are in stock. Orders to be shipped by courier, which are placed before 3:00 p.m., Eastern Time will be shipped that day provided the item(s) ordered are in stock. We will attempt to ship courier orders which are placed later in the day; please check with us by phone (1-888-433-3782) or e-mail if you order late in the day and require next day delivery. In all cases, the term "day" refers to business day (i.e., Monday to Friday, not including public holidays.) This table provides a quick overview of delivery times; please see below for more detail.
If an item is out of stock, the delivery time quoted starts when we actually ship your order. Shipping fees are detailed here. Canada: In Southern Ontario, delivery by mail is often the day after shipping, however we cannot guarantee such quick service. For more distant locations such as Vancouver, delivery may be 5 days. Deliveries to remote far-north locations in Canada may take longer. Tubes (i.e., rolled maps and charts) generally take an extra 2-3 days. U.S.A.: Shipping address in the Eastern seaboard (i.e., closer to our location in Toronto) should expect delivery in approximately 5 days. Shipping to Western states (e.g., California, Washington) will likely take approximately 10 days. Deliveries to Hawaii or Alaska may take longer. If applicable, any custom charges will be your responsibility. International: Shipping by mail to Europe usually takes 5 days. Further destinations, particularly countries with less reliable mail service, will take closer to 20 days. We reserve the right to refuse to ship to selected countries based on our experience of poor delivery history. Please note that if you select Mail as the delivery option, we cannot guarantee delivery by a particular date. The only way to guarantee delivery by a particular date is to select Courier. CourierThe standard delivery time by courier is next day.We can sometimes arrange same day courier delivery within Toronto – please phone us if you would like this service. It is sometimes possible to arrange slower courier delivery, at a cheaper rate - please phone us (1-888-433-3782) or e-mail us if you would like this service. Courier deliveries require signature on delivery. If you wish that the courier company leaves the package without requiring a signature, please indicate it at the time of ordering (using the Shipping Instructions box during checkout). Please note that we are not responsible for items left without signature and cannot accept claims in these situations. |
