Digital Topographic Maps: Prince Edward IslandThere are several publishers who produce digital versions of federal government topographic maps of Prince Edward Island on CD-ROM.Each of these products contain maps for use on a PC. Please note: The maps will not appear on the screen of the GPS. However, with navigation software, it is possible to interface routes and waypoints between your computer and your GPS. There is no GPS interface available for SoftMap CD-ROMs. Other titles require additional navigation software. These digital maps are raster versions of 1:50,000 scale federal topographic maps, covering regions across Canada, except where noted. "Raster" is a computer generated image that is a replica of the paper topographic map and is geo-referenced to display latitude and longitude at the position of your cursor. We do not sell vector maps (i.e., maps with layers of data). Features of each product vary but all contain, at a minimum, basic map viewing features such as zoom. SoftMap includes more sophisticated tools such as search, measuring distance and printing. All products are CD-ROMS, unless otherwise indicated. Not sure which product suits your needs best?
