| Twice a year, the OECD Economic Outlook analyzes the major
trends and examines the economic policies required to foster high and
sustainable growth in member countries including Canada. Developments in major
non-OECD countries are also examined. The December 2009 issue of the OECD Economic Outlook provides analysis of recent economic developments and economic projections for OECD and major non-OECD countries through the end of 2011. Its comprehensive statistical annex is a useful reference tool for international economic comparisons. This issue finds that a recovery is in sight but that damage from the crisis is likely to be long-lasting. As always, it includes an overall assessment as well as individual country assessments for OECD Member countries, including Canada, and major non-OECD economies, plus an extensive statistical annex. The December 2009 issue also includes a special chapter titled: The automobile industry in and beyond the crisis. Together with a wide range of cross-country statistics, the OECD Economic Outlook provides a unique tool to keep abreast of world economic developments. Table of Contents:
