Description:

This product is part of the topic-based tabulations of the 2006 Census standard data products. The CD-ROM contains 36 tables presenting data on the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada and their demographic, cultural, social and economic characteristics.

Data are presented for the Aboriginal identity, the Aboriginal ancestry, and Registered Indian populations, as well as for the geographical locations where these populations reside, including Inuit regions, areas with urban/rural and Indian reserve designations.

Data are generally presented for Canada, the provinces, the territories, the census metropolitan areas and the census agglomerations and, in some cases, for smaller geographies.

Census standard data products are accompanied by a software program (Beyond 20/20) to retrieve and browse the statistical tables with ease.
