| Insects of the Eastern
Spruces, Fir and Hemlock is designed to enable people who are interested in
trees to identify the insects feeding on spruces, balsam fir, and hemlock in
Canada from the Rockies to the Atlantic. About seventy-five species or species
groups that have caused damage or which are commonly found on these trees are
covered. Flow charts keys are included to assist in identification. Also
included are colour illustrations and photographs, biological sketches of
causal insects and illustrations of life stages. Injury by birds, mammals,
mites and other agents is also covered. Common names of insects are used, but
