  • Premier Dalton McGuinty has introduced a new public holiday called “Family Day.” Family Day will become the ninth public holiday in Ontario. It will be celebrated on the third Monday of each February, commencing on February 18, 2008.
  • New minimum wage increases have been announced for the period spanning March 31, 2008 through to March 31, 2010 and onwards.
  • An additional section has been added: liability of directors.
  • Updates and commentary have been added to the sections relating to personal emergency leave and meal breaks.
