Between the years 1984 and 1995, reform of the federal taxation and transfer payment structures have benefitted senior citizens, while creating a more difficult economic situation for middle-aged individuals. Containing a series of articles such as "Welfare Dynamics of Reducing Transfers from Future to Current Generations" and "The Effects of Debt Reduction on Intergenerational Equity and Growth", this publication examines the impact of changes to transfer payments and the taxation system upon younger, older and future generations in Canada.
