| Je parle
français brings to life the richness and diversity of Canadas
Francophones. On the threshold of the 21st Century, there are some seven million Francophones in Canada and another two million who speak French as their second language. Almost a third of the population can say, "Je parle français". The books 360 photographs evoke the vitality of francophones and the splendour of our regions, and transport the reader through many Francophone doors in Canada. This book is a homage to those who have rooted the French language and culture in the heart and soul of this country. It profiles men and women who have made their mark in the fields of science and technology, education, business, and the arts and who contribute to Canadas progress on the road to success. |
