| January 13, 2010: Ottawa has
released Tariff Amendment package T2010-1 which updates the printed copy of the
August 2009 main volume, known as T2009-6. The changes in T2010-1 are the result of planned stage reductions and only those pages affected were printed. Standing order clients will automatically receive and be billed for T2010-1. The revised files are available on the CBSA website. Those who have the printed copies of T2009-6 and T2010-1 will have a hard copy that reflects the 2010 Customs Tariff as of January 1, 2010. Parliament has been prorogued until March 3. When Parliament returns, two trade bills will be reintroduced in the House and Commons and if passed, these bills will create new Tariff Treatments and result in complete reprints of the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff. A new 2010 main volume will be distributed at that time. The 2010 Tariff in its current form is available on the CBSA website. |
