Innovation in Dynamic Service Industries
|This new study examines the high rates of innovation which exist in
the service sector, particularly the communications, financial services and
technical business services industries. Driven by advances in technology, new
and improved products (both goods and services), as well as increased
competition, these industries have been undergoing rapid transformation. Based
on data from the 1996 Survey of Innovation, which included diverse respondents
such as banks, trust and insurance companies, engineering firms and computer
