| One of the world's great paddling areas, Temagami
provides thousands of lakes and rivers among the rocky forested hills of
northern Ontario. The Temagami 1 map covers the Northeast quadrant of
the main region. Covering the eastern portion of Lady Evelyn Smoothwater
Provincial Park, the map includes Lady Evelyn, Diamond, Red Squirrel and Anima
The map is bounded by Maple Mountain to the west, Latchford and Hwy 11 to the east, Wakimika Lake, Sandy Inlet and Red Squirrel Road to the south and the Spray Creek/Big Spring Lake/Montreal River junction to the north.
The 1:80,000 scale map details all access points, portages, campsites and services. In addition to the extraordinary contour, vegetation and water detail on this map, it also shows most of the formerly official campsites, public hiking trails and access points, as well as historical features, primary fish species by lake, lake elevations, access roads, island numbers and much, much more.
The Adventure Map® is specifically designed for outdoor adventurers such as hikers, backpackers, and paddling enthusiasts who need an accurate, up-to-date, rugged map to get them into and safely back from the wilderness.
The Adventure Map® is compact (most measure 18" x 24"/45 x 61cm or less), easy to read, and easy to fold. The maps are also waterproof, printed on specially-made, extra tough, waterproof plastic.
The flip side of each sheet is filled with colour photos and important information about the area including natural and human history, local regulations, outdoor tips, safety concerns, addresses, useful phone numbers and more.
