Temagami

Beginning with the history of the region and its people, and continuing through to its present as an oasis from urban life, Temagami captures the spirit of this huge wilderness area, sparsely populated and largely unknown. Within Temagami lie Ishpatina Ridge, the highest point in Ontario; one of the largest stands of old-growth pine left in eastern Canada; and a lake so big that there is no one point where it can be centrally viewed. Illustrated with colour photos, Temagami is a great introduction to this spectacular landscape.
