Tourism Statistical Digest 2001 |
| The 2001 edition of the Tourism Statistical Digest assembles
under one cover all the survey results relevant to tourism and travel by
Canadians and foreign visitors to Canada. Its many tables and charts illustrate
world tourism trends, demand and supply of tourism services in Canada, and the
impact of tourism in the Canadian economy in 1999. Each chapter is introduced
by a lead article. Data from sources other than Statistics Canada, notably the
World Tourism Organization, are also provided. This publication is a joint initiative by Statistics Canada and the Canadian Tourism Commission. It includes articles produced by analysts in both organizations as well as contributions from tourism experts outside the public service. Please note: This publication continues the discontinued catalogue no 87-401-XPB, Tourism in Canada, a statistical digest last published in 1988. Published every two years.
