Who is the Master?: A Blueprint for Canadian Health Care Reform

The Canadian health care system has, in recent years, been subjected to rising costs, increased demand and government cutbacks. In Who is the Master? authors Monique Jérôme-Forget and Claude Forget argue that the goal of surviving under the strain - and indeed, providing for accountability, flexibility, better knowledge and more targeted research - is achievable. They present a blueprint for reform: using internal markets and supply and demand to create a more efficient, user-oriented system that ensures universality and retains public funding. An interesting discussion of an issue about which most Canadians are concerned.
