Pesticides: Making the Right Choice for the Protection of Health
and the Environment is the title of the May 2000 report from the House of
Commons Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development. The
Committee's report examines the extent of, and the reasons for, the use of
pesticides, their impact on human health and the environment, the economic
implications of their use, and the administrative responsibility for regulating
them. The report recommends changes to existing legislation regarding
pesticides, including the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. Chaired
