Written by Jeff Rybak with illustrations by Evan Munday. Published by ECW Press, 2007. Description: |
| The university system has
its problems. Students invest a lot of time and money in education but all too
often dont get what they came for. In Whats Wrong with
University, author Jeff Rybak addresses the most pressing concerns for
undergraduate students, and helps them cope with the university system.
Jeff walks you through the type of students you might meet, the situations you might face (dropping courses, talking to professors, living on/off campus, etc.), and the things you might do to make the most of your post-secondary education and your university experience. Jeff delivers his critiques of university, his advice on getting what you want, and his potential reforms straight up, with a twist of humour. About the author: Jeff Rybak graduated in 2006 from the University of Toronto Scarborough, where he served in the students union as Vice-President Academics and within campus governance as Chair of the Academic Committee. He has spent many hours counselling students on how to deal with all aspects of university. Jeff is currently a director on the board of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) and is pursuing a law degree at the University of Toronto. |
