The Bibliographic Style Manual, from the
National Library of Canada, is the definitive bibliographic resource, with the
proper forms for citing all documents. The rules given in this manual ensure
bibliographic descriptions are precise, uniform and easy to understand for all
types of documents that may be included in a bibliography. This manual has been
designed to facilitate use of computerized systems for compiling bibliographies
and may help to expedite bibliographic work considerably. Note: An amendment to
the main volume was released in October 1998, and is also available separately
